I’m Helga – a journalist by trade, a gardener by passion. My background in research and storytelling means I dig deep (pun intended) to separate garden myths from solid advice. I’ve turned my own patch of soil into a testing ground for flowers, vegetables, and the occasional stubborn plant (I really dislike calling them weeds).
And because one garden is never enough, I’ve collected them wherever I can: an allotment, a skinny façade strip, a border out front, a veg trug in the shared backyard – always finding space for one more garden. This site is where expertise meets dirt-under-the-fingernails experience, and where I share what works (and what really doesn’t).
